Nonsense &
Common Sense:
Read the Blog

Commenting on the heroism of the men who fought the battle on Iwo Jima in World War II, Fleet Admiral Chester Nimitz remarked, "Uncommon valor was a common virtue"

Beginning in 1775, under the working title the Plain Truth, Thomas Paine wrote the famous pamphlet, Common Sense, as a powerful argument for America independence.

Unfortunately, in today’s world it seems that common sense has become an uncommon virtue.

Nonsense is a stream of individual words that all sound good when eloquently spoken in prestigious surroundings, but, when examined by the harsh reality of the light of day, make no sense what so ever. Rationale with no logic, nonsense surrounds us; scholars who have never met a payroll developing employment policies; statesmen who have never worn a uniform leading men to war; lawmakers dictating to parents what is best for their children; executives that have never swung a hammer walking off with wheelbarrows of money after they fail to build anything. Nonsense thrives because it goes unchallenged.

Nonsense & Common Sense is dedicated to exposing the everyday contradictions in public discourse that, if left unchecked, will erode the independence that so many have sacrificed to achieve.
